Do you want to adopt a cleaner way of living?  To look and feel good for yourself or to take care of your family? Then you are not alone. As the founder of AusCleanBrands, I have experienced it all. I strongly agree that clean living and the low-tox lifestyle are not as complicated as they are made out to be.

Clean living should be easy, real and long-term.

Here are five simple yet effective ways I discovered that can improve your skin health and overall well-being. (I have tested and they really worked!)

1. Try Clean Beauty and Personal Care Products.

Most of the beauty and personal care products available in the market, even the popular ones, are full of chemicals like parabens, sulphates and fragrances. Some of them are labelled as “organic” or  “natural,” but this doesn’t necessarily mean that they do not contain questionable ingredients. These chemicals will make your skin itch, and disrupt your endocrine system and your general health in the long run. It is crucial to learn how to read labels so you are buying products that are non-toxic and made of clean ingredients instead of harming your body unconsciously.

2. Follow an Anti-Inflammatory Diet.

Your diet affects how you feel in your body. The anti-inflammatory diet is rich in vegetables, fruits, proteins and fats. Just remember this: “Eat more from the Earth and less from a box.”  Do your body a favour.

It is advised to reduce or avoid the consumption of sugar, gluten and artificial preservatives and colourants in your diet to help your body’s detox process. When you eat clean,  you have less inflammation,  redness, and more energy.

Trust me, once you start eating clean, you will experience worse when you take junk food.

3. Use Non-Toxic Household Cleaning Products.

Do you know that almost all household cleaning products are filled with chemicals that can harm our skin and the environment?

According to the Environmental Working Group’s study in 2023, cleaning products emit more than 300 VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds – compounds that evaporate at room temperature) that are harmful to indoor air quality.

You can have a clean and safe home environment with the help of clean, natural and eco-friendly products. This is especially important for parents, families and individuals with autoimmune diseases.

Some simple changes that can be made in order to minimise the effects include using vinegar, baking soda and plant based products. Also, let’s not forget to open the windows and let in the fresh air!

4. Simplify Your Environment.

A clean space, a clean mind. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), a cluttered home is believed to disrupt energy flow, increase stress, and negatively impact health.

Let’s replace the synthetic materials with natural fibres, and sustainable timber furniture and go for toxin-free homewares when creating a better and healthier home environment.

5. Keep Yourself  Educated.

Knowledge is power. The more you know, the better decisions you will be making. You can get some reliable information from industry experts, established wellness bloggers and clean living platforms such as AusCleanBrands for cleaning living tips, ideas, and product recommendations on living low-low.

We don’t have to try to change everything and see the changes right away. Let’s focus on making small and better decisions every day and let the interest compound itself.

Start your journey with  AusCleanBrands and see the impact you can have on your health and quality of life!
